Be it enacted by the Congress of the State of Firestone here assembled,
§1. Article I, Section V, Subsection II of the Firestone Constitution currently states, “If required, each chamber may hold a meeting through the use of alternate venues to hear legislation and deal with official business provided Congress is unable to convene at the State Capitol in a prompt enough manner. For an alternate venue, all sitting members of the chamber shall be considered in attendance and assembled for the purposes of voting and quorum. Any legislation submitted to a chamber in an alternate venue must pass by its constitutionally required majority or supermajority vote in favor.”
§2. Article I, Section V, Subsection II of the Firestone Constitution shall be amended to state, “If required, each chamber may hold a meeting through the use of alternate venues to hear legislation and deal with official business provided Congress is unable to convene at the State Capitol in a prompt enough manner. For a session occurring at an alternate venue, all sitting members of the chamber excluding the Presiding Officer of that session shall be considered in attendance and assembled for the purposes of voting and quorum. Any legislation submitted to a chamber in an alternate venue must pass by its constitutionally required majority or supermajority vote in favor.”
§3. This Constitutional Amendment shall take immediate effect upon completion of the required processes.
