Update on the Amendment to Fix Congress

As the article says, the Amendment to Fix Congress has failed in the senate. It is disappointing to see representatives of the people failing to meet their mandate, especially when the amendment had public, executive, and congressional support in the house (7-0-0).

On behalf of all the sponsors, I would like to thank Senator Stamose for being the only attending legislator to aye the amendment while the others nayed or abstained. The primary initiators of the amendment will be evaluating the situation and a further update will be posted soon.

Going off a limb here, they probably failed it because they have worries of failing to serve another term due to less seats.
