Transportation Security Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Preamble: V3’s development progress is coming along faster than expected. With the confirmation of an airport being established within the County, air transportation requires protection from foreign and domestic threats. Therefore this bill shall establish the Firestone Transportation Security Administration.

Section 1. It will be established a FTSA (Firestone Transportation Security Administration) to operate as a law enforcement agency under the State of Firestone, Firestone Department of Aviation, and the Firestone Department of Transportation to manage and secure airline transportation, as well as other modes of transportation across the State.

Section 2. The Firestone Transportation Security Administration shall be granted full law enforcement powers required to perform and execute their duties as a law enforcement agency of the State of Firestone.

Section 2B. The Firestone Transportation Security Administration shall require all staff to possess a valid POST certification prior to employment within that agency.

Section 2C. All staff members employed within the FTSA shall be officially considered as Transportation Security Officers.

Section 2D. The Firestone Transportation Security Administration shall remain well within their jurisdiction which shall be established as any airports, bus depots, or any property belonging to the Firestone Department of Aviation or the Firestone Department of Transportation. FTSA officers may also be deployed on State Transit buses to ensure order and security. FTSA officers shall also operate security checkpoints within airports.

Section 2E. The Firestone Transportation Security Administration shall come under a joint-administration of the Secretary of Aviation and the Secretary of Transportation. The Chief Transportation Security Officer of the FTSA shall answer to both secretaries. If both secretaries shall come under a period of inactivity, or resignation, the acting Secretary of Aviation and Transportation shall operate the FTSA until either Secretaries come back from their period of inactivity or a new Secretary has been selected.

Section 3. The Firestone Air Marshal Service shall be established as a law enforcement agency along with the FTSA and shall come under the authority of the FTSA.

Section 3B. The Firestone Air Marshal Service shall be granted full law enforcement powers required to perform and execute their duties as a law enforcement agency of the State of Firestone.

Section 3C. The Firestone Air Marshal Service shall require all staff to possess a valid POST certification prior to employment within that agency.

Section 3D. All staff members employed within the FAMS (Firestone Air Marshal Service) shall be officially considered as State Air Marshals.

Section 3E. The Firestone Air Marshal Service shall operate under a jurisdiction and shall only be deployed on commercial or government aircraft to ensure order and security.

Section 3F. The Chief Air Marshal will operate the FAMS and shall answer to the Chief Transportation Security Officer.

Section 4. The Firestone Department of Aviation shall be defined as:

Section 5. This legislation shall be enforced by relevant department heads, the Office of the Governor, and the Firestone Department of Justice.

Section 6. Section 1 through Section 5 of this bill shall be enacted upon the official release of Stapleton County V3.
