State Holiday Recognition Act of 2023

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION I:

(a) This Act shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.

SECTION II:

(a) Should any part of this Act be stuck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.

SECTION III:

(a) This Act shall be enforced by any relevant parties.

SECTION IV:

(a) A Bill to Recognize Firestone Holidays shall be declared null and void.

SECTION V-A:

(a) The State of Firestone shall recognize the following dates as State Holidays;

(i) New Year’s Day - January 1st

(ii) Liberty Day - January 2nd

(iii) Founders Day - April 1st

(iv) Labour Day - September 5th

(v) Veteran’s Day - November 11th

(vi) Thanksgiving - 4th Thursday of November

(vii) Christmas Eve - December 24th

(viii) Christmas Day - December 25th

SECTION V-B:

(a) No business entity within the State of Firestone licensed under the Department of Commerce (DoCM) shall mandate their employees to provide any form of duties or labor within their respective business on the State Holidays outlined in SECTION V-A.

SECTION V-C:

(a) No department policy shall mandate employees to provide any form of duties or labor within their respective department on the State Holidays outlined in SECTION V-A.

SECTION V-D:

(a) The Legislative and Judicial Branch in the State of Firestone shall not mandate individuals to provide any form of duties or labor within their respective branch on the State Holidays outlined in SECTION V-A.

SECTION V-E:

(a) The Governor of the State of Firestone through Executive Order may make additions to SECTION V-A.

(b) The Congress of the State of Firestone through a passed Joint Resolution may overrule any additions to SECTION V-A made by the Governor.
