I. Introduction
Hello residents of Stapleton County, I am sithmaster921 and I am running for the office of County Council. It is my distinct honor and privilege to address you for the third time to run for this office. I am running because I genuinely believe I can do my part by contributing my specific set of skills to improve the county, as I have aspired to do in my previous term as a County Councilor. Though my previous term went relatively unaccomplished, I would like to say that it served as a rather valuable learning experience for me, and it allowed me to gain a sense of the issues that needed to be addressed in the county.
I must admit that I was rather inactive in my previous term. I ask that you not hold this against me, and that I tried my best to find time for Stapleton County in the form of the occasional legislative idea, discussion, etc. I am saying this in full knowledge that a judgment could be justifiably imparted against me because of this; I had promised to not be inactive when I was running for my first time in October. I simply ask that you give me another chance at showing how I can do my part to improve the council. I am aware that there are those with arguably more real life circumstances going on and who can still remain more active than myself; they are simply better than me in that regard, and standing from the position of a person who had, until then had some degree of disdain against those who could not find the littlest amount of time for Roblox, I have learnt to have full understanding of those with whatever real life circumstances that should necessitate them to take time off Roblox and I have learnt to give a high degree of respect to those who have the capacity to balance everything in spite of it. I hope to learn from this type of person.
II. About Me
I would like to highlight some of my values and beliefs. I believe first in having respect for everyone. Though it seems extremely cliché and often repeated, it is not often placed into practice. Certainly, any part of Firestone could benefit if everyone could respect this tenant as I hope to have had. Additionally, I want to emphasize my respect for hard work and my true genuine belief that hard work in its truest and most literal sense is one of the key factors toward success.
I have been practicing law in the Firestone courts consistently since my admission to the state bar in August. I have argued 2 Supreme Court cases (Zwok1 v. NineteenLettersOnly, LtComms1 v. State) and I have done some occasional civil work.

IV. Plans and Accomplishments
Accomplishments of the previous term:
Passed A Bill to Repeal a Bill to Clarify and Illegalize Medical Malpractice (Trello)
PassedAn Amendment to the Stapleton County Charter (removing a blatant loophole) (Trello)
My goals then were simply to do what I could. I wanted to be helpful and I wanted to keep Stapleton County legislation in good order. If elected, this will continue to be my goal. The basis of a proper government is proper legislation. If legislation or lack thereof can be abused, those in power should seek to remedy any instance of it, no matter how minute the error or loophole may appear to be. I was always eager to do more. Many more ideas for bills were developed, some even written, and ultimately scrapped. I always discussed bills with the County Executive, fellow councilors, and at one time even the public with a public forum posting asking for the public’s opinion on the current term length of Stapleton County councilors.
I have always sought to maintain this high level of transparency, and I will always communicate whatever I can to the public. At times, it becomes difficult when those in the public are unenthusiastic, uninformed or simply do not care about the council, however whatever outreach that can be maintained with the public should be, as there will always be those who have some degree of interest and whose opinions should matter significantly to legislators.
Additionally, I talked in previous posts about major legislation. I had previous ideas, however as mentioned they were scrapped after discussion. My plan is to propose any legislation that can provide more meaningful and major improvements to the county, coming in the form of protecting firefighters, paramedics and police, attracting and making commerce more interesting, and simply promoting public interest in the county government. I don’t have a specific plan momentarily, but as soon as one appears to me, I will see to it that it comes to fruition.
