Should JamesDeeks get barred?

Going to keep this short and sweet, I personally don’t feel enough public consultation was done before the proposal of the bar on JamesDeeks, so I have a poll for the people.

Should JamesDeeks be barred from state government?

In my personal opinion, the bill to bar JamesDeeks (A Bill to Bar JamesDeeks from Government) is a stupid and dangerous precedent, especially during an electoral period.

He has served diligently as Sheriff for three years and cannot be considered as a “risk” to the function of the state, it is utter codswallop. In addition to this, the clause that prohibits him NOT BEING ABLE TO RUN A BUSINESS is fucking disgraceful.

The Department of Justice has not released any intent to prosecute him as of yet, and the community evidently trusts his character. Because of the incident, he has lost enough (his Sheriff position, his FNG position, his POST certification) and shouldn’t be punished to this extent.

When one considers the context of his Senate campaign, this bill can be seen as clear electioneering by a Congress which violates the public interest. Shame on the Congresspeople that support this.

Please let me know what you think:

Should JamesDeek be permabanned from holding office or owning a business?

While I agree with the bar from office (albeit not necessarily permanent), barring from businesses and departments is not something that should be routinely done by congress, particularly not for actions within the scope of roleplay. and if barred, and acquitted, that bar ought to be repealed.

congress should only explore the barring option only if a criminal record is added because of it. but the whole thing is disgraceful because:

  1. it is permanent
  2. it includes businesses
  3. the DOJ hasn’t prosecuted
  4. it is during an electoral period
  5. james’ prior contribution towards this state

this bill is kicking down a person who has already lost so much and for what reason? he isn’t a security risk and has had a very big contribution towards county-level affairs

This is a far-left communist tactic employed by the Firestone political elite with the aim of censoring voices and oppressing individuals who dare speak out against the establishment. This is present all throughout history - you shall see examples in the 1930s. Take, for instance, the Enabling Act passed by the National Socialists in 1933. This was a gross violation of the democratic process and we see a parallel being taken here against the honourable JamesDeeks. We must NOT let these far-left tactics seep into Firestone.
I urge all public office holders to rally against this tyrannical and morally illegal bill.
At the end of the day, it is the people who decide whom is elected to office.

Who would be willing to attend a protest at the Firestone State Capitol game during the House of Representatives session today? (where they vote on the bar)

When: Today at 5:30 PM EST
Where: Firestone State Capitol Game
Why: Protest JamesDeeks bar

It is important that the people take a step up, and hold our congresspeople accountable. The more people, the better. Hope to see you there!

(if you are willing to attend, be sure to like the post)

i think personally its fucking retarded how this person is trusted widely by the community yet congress still feels the need to step in, and for what? To show they have a fucking purpose? To say they had a hand and did something? I mean literally look at this. Dude wants to run for congress, so they are attempting to fucking BAR him so he loses that shot. If they truly think he is a risk to the community, why the fuck don’t they let the PUBLIC decide that, instead of just a few select members of the community. So many people are going against this, yet congress, the people WE elected, thinks they know better. If they go ahead and bar James, ill make it my fucking mission to get in office and get rid of that bar if its the last thing I do. Congress not listening to the people who got them in that position. Anything else I should fail to be surprised by?

It’s funny how the “people” the representative is calling dumb are also the same people that voted them into their position…

It’s the people of Firestone who put congress into their positions, and it is evident from this poll that the people weren’t consulted before a decision was made… and were then privately mocked for answering a poll that contradicted congress’ opinion

Maybe the real threat here is individuals in congress (not all of them) who let the power they are awarded get to them and fail to consult those who voted for them before making an informed decision.

I call upon Representative Jacobbron to make a statement about their comments made. I also call for the Governors to investigate this matter, with a public statement regarding the outcome of said investigation to be published for public view.
