Should criminals be allowed to work/operate businesses within the County?

It’s a good idea to give someone who has a record to be given a chance to change and a job.

Also could build a better relationships with citizens who have records.

As someone who plays Firestone regularly, I agree that citizens labeled as “criminals” should be able to join/create citizen owned businesses as getting an individual expungement takes not only centuries but is also a pain to do (unless you have some friendship with the Governor/ Lt. Governor which in that case you get a get out of jail free card), I also think letting criminals work at/operate businesses help them get put back into the work flow of society instead of being a useless pile of flesh.

Sir I can come back and take expungements full time once I get my records expunged and you approve of me coming back

but we just want to be able to work at establishments if the business owners allow, not with commerce regulations

I would like a lil spooky cupcake every now and again . :upside_down_face:

Kidnappers shouldn’t be given the chance to drive around taxis, and if they’d like that chance they should go through an engagement. I cant imagine the Government sanctioning criminals businesses after they’ve been caught committing crimes. Not sure why we’d let criminals THAT HAVE BEEN CAUGHT make legal money to fund their current illegal operations. I understand that some criminals want to turn over a new leaf and for tiny crimes that’s something that should be considered, but a blanket allowance of criminals to own and work for businesses has so much potential for trouble.

Hi, retired crim here.

As it stands right now, crims have very little to do in the county. Only thing is really either, a, shoot up cops, or B, rob banks. Crims don’t have any other things to do, and this is exactly the reason being a criminal sucks. So, I’m asking @AlbusSkywalker (i hope your the commerce sec lol) to give crims more to do with businesses. We aren’t all cop baiters, some crims just want to have fun.

No, I don’t want residents of Arborfield to be hopping into taxis and have their driver be a criminal that has a kidnapping charge, reckless driving charge or even a murder charge. This isn’t safe, they should be allowed to operate/work in businesses when the crimes they have committed are removed, as @Innovativemind stated, they should go through an engagement. We, the citizens would be in complete danger.

I hope you realize that Redwood taxi drivers are only “felons” because you’re not allowed to operate businesses in firestone because apparently we’re in a fucking dictatorship which does not allow individuals to work at businesses like North Korea, with inspections every month, controlling how people can run and what they can provide

You’re naive if you think the U.S doesn’t keep an eye on businesses. Local, State, and Federal government all set regulations that you must follow or risk losing licensing in real life. Lets not pretend standards are some abstract concept that only dictatorships use. Real businesses keep books, have bank statements, have to deal with zoning regulations, local licensing, state licensing and even more. IF you’re going to make an argument based on real life, at least engage in what you’re talking about so you know or do some research.

To add on to that, Some of the ways the US keeps an eye on a businesses is through agencies like HIPPA and OSHA.

Those of convicted of a crime unless expunged shall not be eligible to own/operate a business with a Department of Commerce license. That is a public safety concern 1. Because without a expungement there is no legal/formal way authorities know to trust that the individual has learned from their crimes. 2. it is up to the owner or operator of a business to background check his or her employees, but it should be required that the owner of a business Fire an employee who is convicted of a felony. 3. Criminals can engage in other types of commerce such as driving people around the county. Bottom line is, You should be required to get your records expunged before applying for a business permit etc from the Department of Commerce.
