So I was recently doing some mapping on Google Earth, and saw this in Carmel, Indiana. A Peanut shaped roundabout to keep traffic flowing on and off the highway! So I did some thinking, and a bit of driving in V2, and what trouble do I get into? A long red light cycle at Redwood’s Exit 16 again! So I did a bit of thinking, and realized that we should put two and two together!
The main issue that the current intersection is the fact that there are lengthy red lights. This would help remove that inconvenient wait for so many people, and would also remove any congestion in the intersection during busy periods of time.
Another benefit would be to the Firestone State Patrol. This new roundabout will create less of a mess than it currently is to get in and out of the station.
Lastly, it would make the entrance and exit ramp less ugly and with some extra plants and flowers, this would look perfect. The current ramp area looks really disappointing in my personal opinion, and would look really nice with a spice up.
I hope you guys like this very interesting idea that I discovered. I think this would create more fun for the community, and maybe even give it a very much needed rework.
