Imagine a seasoned NBA player who’s been around since the late 2010s, maybe not an original draft pick but enough of a veteran to have seen the franchise evolve across different eras. Early on, the locker room vibe was tight, and the friendships and growth he gained shaped his whole career. He appreciates the mentors who helped him improve his game and set him on the path to a professional career.

But now he’s ready to announce his “retirement” because of issues in the front office. He thanks the coaching staff and teammates who believed in him, especially those who helped him work on his skills outside of official practices. He even appreciates the GM and owner for giving him a leadership role, but that’s where things went south.

The franchise’s “head coach” (in this case, the project manager) micromanages the game plan and makes lineup changes that seem off, prioritizing certain players even when they underperform. There’s a lack of trust and respect, as roles are unclear, and decisions come without consulting the players, leaving them scrambling to adapt mid-game. The “coach” is adding fancy plays (like unnecessary stadiums and lighting) while ignoring fundamental aspects the team really needs to win.

The player calls out that the team lacks unity and direction, with frequent, uninformed changes from the top making it hard for players to focus. And despite pouring years into this team, he’s often reminded that he’s “replaceable,” which just kills the motivation to keep putting in work.

He’s leaving with a heavy heart, knowing he could still contribute if things were handled better. He hopes the organization gets its act together for the fans and the teammates he’s leaving behind. If they ever need help with something urgent, he’d be open to stepping in—but for now, it’s time to go.

i aint dev or anything but

see, i can’t prove this with evidence but this is something i have seen ALOT in my time in Firestone. Everytime a developer leaves the group Fedora always says “Oh, I can find a new one within the community and don’t have to reach outside its not like the one that left is any good” I have witnessed this since fergie left FS but each time the new dev come its the same cycle… they get burned out and leave and then fed shit talks them.

i personally always thought v3 should’ve been released with drive able cars, working jails system, and the basic stuff and then down the road the more cooler stuff should’ve been added. v2 for example was released with leo cars, jail system and illegal dealers and then after 3 years the bank robbery was added. should’ve done that but ig its pointless now.

you were the princess diana of the firestone development team, incredibly mistreated, always in the spotlight, and your concerns were not listened to.
