Welp lads, it appears the third time is not, in fact, the charm. Very unfortunate, but ah well. It was a great run. I had a lot of fun. I, of course, congratulate @Ash1835 and @anon53012218 on their victory. They’re very capable leaders and I wish them a great term!
But, let’s get to my main point here. With this speech, I will be retiring from government in this great state. My career started in August of 2017 when my long time friend and mentor @NotoriousAmerican got me a seat on the District Court. From there, I went to the Senate. Then the Supreme Court. Then AG. Then Lt. Gov. Then DHS. Then Supreme Court part 2. Then Chief Court Justice (my all time goal). It’s been my sincere honor to serve this state and its people. But I’ve done what I came to do. The judiciary is in the hands of the much more capable hands than I, @Skye_Jones. The Senate is now in the very capable (though very gay) hands of Hec. And the Governorship is in the hands of my formal and cherished rival, Ash. My era has passed. I must now pass on the reign of governance to these spectacular souls who have superseded myself. May their service be dutiful and calm.
However, I will not be leaving the community. FS is my virtual home, and I love the people here dearly. So I’ll stick around the community. I’ll probably keep my job in DOC too. But from there, I’ll just be a normal citizen and lawyer. I will, of course, continue to give legal advice to the many friends and fellow citizens who need it each day as well! I love you all, thank you for a wonderful two years!
