Make the max players per server higher

there’s no problems at 70 players. if you running off a hamster wheel thats your own fault.

From what I have seen the game has never been set at 70 players, how do you know that?

I think we should start ignoring the argument “Lag”, because they really think their potato connected to an power outlet can run RTX shaders on cyberpunk with graphic mods

On previous suggestions for server cap to be raised, people either agree with it or bring up the argument of lag.
Yes, V2 can be really laggy but it can also be playable and the only issue I’d see with raising the player cap is the ability for more exploiters and bacon hair cv drivers but hey ho, what’s new?

• Bear’s First Transit, Original Pizza, Redwood Driving School and Faramount Pictures all got new vehicles along with Quest getting theirs back, DOT getting a new bus, the Ram 1500 and the Ford F250 Box Truck
• Mister Clean buildings and the whole dirty vehicle thing.
• FSP and SCSO HQ revamps.
• FBC Building (FBC > FNN)
• More stuff I cannot remember.
They all add to the lag but everyone seems to love them and no one ever complains (maybe not the case with the dirty vehicle thing so much but still).

10 extra people isn’t going to cause too much issues in regards to lag compared to all the recent updates.

If the server were to make bigger, there’d be a few issues for some people. The game may not be stable enough for some, that it used to be (60 players). Another one is, that you will still have servers be full, even if you make the server bigger.

usually when i played fs i saw 68 players most of the time and maybe if it were raised to 70 your 2nd issue is kind of answered unless the playerbase expands

We increased server size previously and the issue wasn’t lag, the extra 10 space was filled with bacon hair crown victoria rammers. Yeah it might be good for events and whatnot, but for everyday use, it’s horrendous. V2 lag has dropped significantly because of Roblox upgrades itself, regardless not sure why thats the main topic anyway.

I could be alone with this opinion, but I don’t think the bacon hairs and rammers have been at large lately. They’ve always been a problem and I think it’s been worse in past years but I think the extra server space would really be useful for events, mass rps, and even the tournaments. The server is always empty early morning and at night so having the extra space when the original space isn’t really even being used for most of the time doesn’t seem like a huge deal. It could at least be tried out for a few days before it’s finally decided on, but that’s just what I think.

This would be brilliant or some system that allows required depts to get in like you may page fd or dot and spend for ever waiting for them because they cant get on, also mass rps depts involved try to get in but random civs who watch etc take up space for the “Important people” at that point in rp.

or do the simple thing, make a afk kicking thing so if people don’t move around or whatever it kicks them so people who money farm get kicked and don’t take up server space

If I recall this has occurred once before. they increased it from 60 to 75 and it had some very heavy performance issues on the server.

I have a decent spec’ed computer myself and I don’t have issues on any other Roblox game. V2 isn’t as optimized as it could be, I know my hardware and internet aren’t the issues for sure. It all comes down to the number of signals the server sends out per second, too many causes performance issues on the server and that causes it to “lag”. Adding 10 or 15 extra spaces probably won’t change much but it can cause heavy effects on other aspects of the game such a the Helicopters. During the period when it was at 75 players, pilots who attempted to take-off couldn’t at max size and we had to ground for that period.

I agree, roblox have probably upgraded their server hardware (I hope) and scripts that have been added are probably pretty optimised considering it would be a lag fest if they werentt. I’d like to see what they look like now.

I can run Firestone adequately on a Macbook. Yes, you can pend in, but it’s worth raising the player count by five or ten to start.
