Gun Suggestions (part 2) robbery of paths guns, LEO station, NG station, etc

(Part one talked about gun mechanics, part 2 will talk about a more realistic way to find illegal guns in the game.

LONG GUNS CAN ONLY BE STORED IN HOUSE, VEHICLE, AND BACKPACK INVENTORY, and would be VISIBLE (slinging gun) in your back if you are storing with backpack inventory

Hand guns, however would be able to be stored in your pocket inventory and would not be visible as its small enough to be hidden.

GUN DROPPING MECHANICS

Guns would be able to be dropped by the civillian and visitor team ONLY. Guns would be droppable both voluntaraly, and on death.


GUN FINDING

Firstly, to improve realism. The illegal gun dealer should be removed. I already suggested this in another thread, however this thread will provide more ways to get illicit weapons as a replacement instead of the illegal gun dealer, as in the other thread I only suggested one way to get illegal guns.

ROBBERY OF A WEAPONS STORE

There should be a way to get illicit weapons by robbing a store such as paths guns.

REQUIREMENTS TO ROB PATHS GUNS:

Must be 5+ troopers, or deputies or DHS:CRT onduty. DHS:FPS, DHS:SS and all other non law enforcement departments would not count

Must be atleast 25 people in the server at the time of robbery

Must be NIGHT TIME when paths is closed (Devs have to add closing of paths guns at night)

Stolen paths guns keys, or a lockpick should be added.

HOW TO ROB A WEAPONS STORE

Firstly, you would have to enter the store using a lockpick that should be buyable using a NPC lockpicke dealer and you would then select (TRIGGER A ROBBERY). Once the robbery is triggered law enforcement would be notified by either a automated 911 call or by a automated radio transmission. You would then be equipped with a bag and you would have 5 minutes to get as many weapons as possible. Your bag would be able to fit 2 long guns and 4 little guns. You would not be able to leave the store until your 5 minutes are up. This rule would be made in order to provide a fair chance for law enforcement to get in the scene. In order to combat against law enforcement, you would use one of your weapons to shoot officers in an attempt to get away and use a getaway car to drive off.

ROBBERY OF A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER STATION

Requirements to rob a Law Enforcement Officer Station

Must be 4+ Trooper, Agent / Officer, or Deputy from that station on (ex: to rob DHS station weapons there must be 4+ CRT Agents/SS Agents/FPS Officers)

Must have a lockpick buyable from a NPC dealer.

Must be 25+ people in the server at the time.

HOW TO ROB A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER STATION

First, you would have to use the lockpick to get through the door. Once you got through the door officers would be alerted that you are there, either by the 911 system through a automated message or a automated radio transmission. You would then have a bag and you would be able to steal police grade weapons. (Depending on station, there would be different weapons) You would then have 5 minutes to steal up to 2 maximum long guns and 4 handguns from the station. You would have to wait 5 minutes in order to leave the station. (in order to have a fair chance at officers coming to the scene). You would have to use one of the weapons you stole and your car in order to get away from officers at the scene.

ROBBERY OF A NATIONAL GUARDSMAN STATION

REQUIREMENTS:

Up to 5+ National Guardsman onduty at the time of robbery

Up to 25+ people in the server

HOW TO ROB A NATIONAL GUARD STATION

This would be the hardest and most impossible robbery to do, and would be rare to come out alive from this>

You would have to first breach in the national guard station (most likley on foot as you cant get in with a car without nat. guard allowing you in)

Since you are now on foot, you would have 5+ national guardsmen attacking you with weapons. You would have to run to their armory and go inside to begin the robbery

WHEN INSIDE ARMORY

You would have 5 minutes to rob the armory, and would have a bag with you to rob the weapons in there. You must wait 5 minutes before you can leave. Once you exit the armory, you would have to fight 5+ Guardsman in order to leave the NG station with the weapons, and then successfuly evade officers.

PURCHASING A FIREARM FROM A REAL CHARACTER

Dropping of weapons should be added to do this, and this should be made illegal with congress (purchasing an illegal firearm is illegal, but not selling)

GUN BEING DROPPED ON DEATH BY A REAL CHARACTER

Guns being dropped on death by a character is another way that guns should be able to be recieved. Both legal and illicit guns should be droppable.

(A law would have to be made by congress to make this illegal, evidence tampering a crime however evidence tampering only pertains to documents or records of a crime)

okay, tl;dr, make the inventory system more realistic but really complicated, and make it possible to rob paths, law enforcement stations, the national guard base, for their guns and equipment.

okay, inventory system. more realistic. more organized. i get it. but it’s kinda overcomplicated. that’s my two cents on that.

two cents on guns, uh, no.
after ‘further analysis’ (/s) of v2’s current crime rate, i can say with definitive certainty that allowing more FRPing drive by artists faster access to guns than just keeping illegal gun dealers would be extremely detrimental to roleplaying.
one does not simply walk into a gun store and hold up the store owner and the four or so other CFC civilians inside, you’d get shot.
one does not simply walk into a police station and stroll into the station’s inventory, you’d get found out, maybe shot, and arrested for trespassing.
one does not simply walk into a national guard base and begin taking rifles from the arsenal, you’d definitely be shot. big time. with some big LMGs and maybe a few M72 LAWs. maybe have a Tomahawk launched at your house.

basically saying, no go on robbing for guns. FRPers will abuse. will ruin RPs. will ruin the sense of realism that firestone has.

Nope, robberies would only be done in the night time and the store would be closed therefore there would not be any shooting taking place inside the paths guns store


Thats why in my suggestions, it is made hard to rob a police station. You would have to wait five minutes AND would have to run out of the station without getting tasered by police (or shot if you come out with a weapon) Requiring skill to come out alive

For the national guard base, it would be made near impossible to rob the NG base.

Please read the WHOLE article before saying tldr, or else DO NOT COMMENT. It is obvious that you did not read the whole article.

I’d say it’s physically impossible to rob a military base, damn near impossible to rob a police station, and hard to rob a gun store. Also, night lasts like half an hour in game, so rip you if it’s nighttime and you want to buy a gun? Inventory system sounds cool though.

For the NG base robbery, it would be made extremley hard to rob the millitary base as theres 5 national guardsman waiting for you in the armory and they would be shooting at you before you rob too. Making it impossible and you would have to already have weapons and would have to have a team of people with you

For the police stations it is ALSO made “near impossible” if you look at suggestions.You would have to wait 5 minutes before leaving the station, meaning by that time police officers would have you surrounded

in no way am i making this unrealistic by making robberies of stations and ng station hard, If you read the robberies on NG and Police stations, it is extremley hard to rob them without dying or getting arrested

I do also fear removing the illegal gun dealer will basically tank illegal weapons. Firstly, getting a gun permit is a shit ton of work, and the majority of people who have them are cops, GOs, etc. And the only real abuse of legal firearms is people who get fired or whatever and just go ham. Plus, once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. Not many people would be willing to sell their legal guns illegally or do stuff such as that. So basically no one is going to waste like three hours of effort for it. And it doesn’t matter, it is physically impossible to raid a military base irl as a civilian in that country w/o a rebellion. You’d die before you got past the gate. And police stations don’t have a lot worth stealing that you couldn’t get from illegal sources with less hastle.

The only military base robberies irl that have really occurred were inside jobs…

Either way, I think the devs said they would introduce gas stations and banks to be robbed or something.

As I said again, NG robberies would be made near impossible as 5+ NG guardsman would be going against you, so it would rarley happen (probably once a month or once every few months a successful robberies, all other robberies would be unsuccesful)

in norfolk you had to find a crowbar (which teleported all around the map and was nearly impossible to find)

then you had to wait for a cop to leave his car unattended

then you had to get LUCKY enough for the trunk to give you a gun out of the 6 things it could give you once you broke into the cops car

then you had to GET AWAY from the situation without getting caught

easily my favorite way of getting weapons a group has ever done

(still to this day, it’s one of the coolest things ive made w/ @anon54114525 & @Reaper5)

Why even remove the illegal gun dealer in the first place? In real life, criminals buy guns from an illegal gun dealer. I’ve never heard of criminals robbing a police station or a military base.

Yes, but in real life an illegal gun dealer is NOT a NPC. we have to make a way for illegal gun dealers to be real people, and add gun dropping.

Illegal GD’s would use the mechanisms above to steal weapons and then sell them if they want to be “Dealers”, rather than guns being delivered out of nowhere to a NPC dealer that you can not arrest

This is a game.

This isn’t necessary.

Here’s a better suggestion: NPC gun dealers should be able to move from place to place and not stay in one spot. Now, you really have to find him if you want an illegal gun.

9 times out of 10, people who enter a police station armed would be detain immediately; (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjZ5tgjPVfU) and people who enter a national guard base armed will be shot on sight.
Adding to that, most of the time, gun dealers have a weapon themselves incase there IS a robber.
