Government Office Regulation Act of February 2021

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in the State of Firestone in Congress assembled:

PREAMBLE:

To further define government office limitation, related to “doubling-up” within the multiple levels of firestone legislature. This act will also further define who is permitted to hold office within the State of Firestone and its governments.

SECTION I.

(a) Only citizens may hold elected or appointed offices within the State of Firestone, whether it’d be Executive, Judicial, and or Legislative positions.

(a1) A citizen in Firestone is defined as; “a person who passed the citizenship test and holds Middle Class or Upper-Class citizenship in the Official Firestone Roblox Group.”

(a2) May be cited as “Government Office Regulation Act of February 2021”.

SECTION II.

(a) No Firestone Governmental Official shall hold government office within the State of Firestone, while concurrently involved in another Ro-State, Ro-Nation, or another Roblox entity that seeks to inflict harm against the State of Firestone, and or that harbors enemies thereof.

(a1) “Seeks harm” is defined as; “seeking or waging war against Firestone, threatens the security and the democratic principles of Firestone, denounces Firestone’s independence.”

(a2) The Governor at the recommendation of the Secretary of State may identify Ro-States/Nations/Entities that seek harm against the State of Firestone.

(b) Firestone State Governmental Officials that violate this section are subject to removal, through the due process listed in Article 1, Section VI, and Article 1, Section XII, of the Firestone Constitution.

( c ) Stapleton County Governmental Officials and Municipal Government Officials that violate this section are subject to removal, through the due process listed in Article II, Section VI, and Section VII of the Stapleton County Charter.

SECTION III.

(a) Government Office is defined as; “The Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, Chief Court Justice, Senator, Representative, Cabinet, Sub-Cabinet, County Executive, County Councilmember, Mayor, Municipal Councilmember/Alderman, Supreme Court Justice, and District Court Justice”

(b) The Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, Chief Court Justice, Supreme Court Justices, District Court Justices, and the County Executive may not concurrently hold any offices listed in clause (a) of this Section while serving as one of the offices listed in said section.

( c ) An exception to this clause shall be that Cabinet members may serve as an executive position within Municipal Governments, such as Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

(c1) Cabinet Members defined are in the Firestone Constitution, Article 2, Section IX

(d) An exception to this clause shall be that Senators and Representatives may concurrently hold a position with a Municipal Legislative Branch, OR the County Legislative Branch

(e) If an individual is found to violate this Section, they’re subjected to removal from one of their offices through the due process defined in Section II, clause (b) and ( c ) for State or County/Municipals.

SECTION IV.

(a) This legislation shall go into effect upon meeting the Constitutionally required criteria and being signed by the Governor.
