Hello,
I know you’ve probably seen me talk about this a million times - unprofessionally (kek) - but no one has given me a good reason as to why they’ve said ‘no’ so I’m gonna keep bringing the topic up. Also I’m posting it here so I can see other people’s opinions.
So FSP and SCSO have their respective ‘headwear’ (excuse my knowledge for policing uniform names but I’m not about that life), DHS have their textured caps (CRT apparently don’t have their own but they can buy those grey helmets and it looks damn good on them so I’ll support them having those added in SC too). Also SCSO: SWAT apparently have their own headgear too.
And then there’s the National Guard, who practically fight naked.
We actually don’t ask for much, we’re patient on the NG base development but we’d like to at least have some ‘accessories’ to look professional like other departments.
So why do we deserve them?
. A professional appearance, because no one runs into combat without wearing protection
. Most or all LEO-defined departments have something that covers their head, so why can’t we?
. An intimidating presence, making civilians u-turn from Greendale 30% quicker
. Stapleton County V1 had helmets and even more, so why can’t V2 - which is supposed to be an improvement - have it too?
tl;dr - We just want to have helmets and patrol caps in the base so we look good. I don’t even care if the helmet is some textured helmet from the catalogue, I just don’t wanna get my brain popped.
Cheers loves.
PS: When I say patrol cap, I mean this: http://prntscr.com/hp8ke9
EDIT (12th January, 2018): I’ve noticed the huge support so I’m gonna also say that this is no longer an FNG thing, but also a CRT and SCSO: SWAT thing. I’d like for them to get required headwear too.
