EO #55 Opinion Poll

So request for a name and badge, same as showing name.

yeah and sometimes thats hard as fuck, especially for example if the cops on the move and legs it before you have the chance to ask. it’s just aiding disciplinary stuff overall so you don’t have to dismiss cases of subpar performance because you can’t get a name and badge of the officer who just shot into a crowd then sped off 100 sps

I honestly want to say yes and no, but overall no.

We all know that Firestone criminal organizations are pretty hectic and usually involve a lot of hit-lists and targeting specific department members. Shall these members be FSP, it is easier to target FSP employees as their name is shown at all times. For example, you could be sitting at CD or some other populated area talking to civilians and get shot out of nowhere.

Now, moving onto identification and cases within DPS, this is a good idea. Names being shown at all times can improve and support cases within DPS. It’s easier to identify officers as we do not need to ask for their name and badge number or look at the plate of their vehicle.

Now, should SCSO have this requirement too? Absolutely. I think their department heads and whatnot should discuss this and think about it as well.

Think about this though, what truly matters? Does being shot at a few times matter more than exposing a corrupt employee on duty? Does being shot at matter more rather than keeping citizens safe from corrupt employees?

Just something to think about.

Overall, I’m gonna have to say no.

Horrible example. if this does happen a moderator would simply ban them due to them being rogue.

Yes… Targetting corrupt employees matters 100% more than getting shot in a lego game (didn’t realize you were for removing the EO until post-edit but just to clarify this)

Also, I was FSP Sergeant for nearly a year and always showed my name. Removes the hassle of name and badge requests and I was rarely ever targeted. Just remain silent and don’t be toxic towards criminals

some cases, tactical units are the ones in question, so that defeats the purpose

this rule is so stupid, if an employee does something bad, just name and badge them??? We’re constantly targeted by gangs by hitlists, etc. we’re already underpowered when it comes to a single glock vs 15 AK-74Us, our hidden names at least helped us somewhat.

it really does not, if they’re really adter you they already know how u look in game, what vehicle u drive most of the time and your CALLSIGN which is PUBLIC INFO on the scso trellos

so you’re telling me a gang member is gonna roll up next to me, check my plate and then go to the SCSO trellos to see who I am… :gorilla:

100% agreed

that’s overexagerating…

If someone really wanted to target you, they wouldn’t go RIGHT near you, theyd know its you via callsign on your plate, radio scanner, what you’re wearing and other factors.
