Criminal & Traffic Code Establishment (Part Three)

Traffic Code 61.1. Any individual using a vehicle that fails to stop for pedestrians, or any vehicle who has the right of way shall be charged with Failure to Yield.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Yield. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or less than one-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Yield.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Yield’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 61.2. Any individual who fails to yield to any emergency vehicles responding to an emergency/call with its lights and sirens flashing will be charged with Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. Drivers who are unable to safely yield for emergency vehicles responding with their lights and sirens must come to a full stop until the emergency vehicle responding passes.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or less than four-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 62. Any individual who uses a vehicle and drives on the opposite side of a road, street, etc, instead of on the appropriate side shall be charged with Failure to Drive on the Right Side of the Road.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Drive on the Right Side of the Road. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Drive on the Right Side of the Road.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Drive on the Right Side of the Road’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 63. Any individual who uses a vehicle and unintentionally disregards the rules of the road while driving shall be charged with Careless Driving.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Careless Driving. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or less than one-hundred and ten dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Careless Driving.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Careless Driving’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 64. Any individual who uses a vehicle and intentionally decides to disregard the rules of the road while driving shall be charged with Reckless Driving.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Reckless Driving. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Reckless Driving.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Reckless Driving’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 65. Any individual who uses a vehicle and blocks lanes of traffic while drive on a road, street, etc, shall be charged with Road Obstruction.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Road Obstruction. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or no less than fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Road Obstruction.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Road Obstruction’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 66. Any individual who uses a vehicle and obstructs lanes of traffic on the highway shall be charged with Road Obstruction on the Highway.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Road Obstruction on the Highway. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than two-hundred and fifty dollars to no more than four-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Road Obstruction on the Highway.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Road Obstruction on the Highway’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 67. Any individual who uses a vehicle and switches lanes on the road without using their turns signals to indicate the lane they wish to turn into shall be charged with Failure to Use Signals.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Use Signals. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or no less than sixty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Use Signals.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Use Signals’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 68. Any individual who operates a vehicle on any roadway, street, highway, etc, must use their hazard lights when stationary off to the left or right side of the road, street, highway, etc, that they are operating their vehicle on. Failing to follow this requirement will result in getting charged with Failure to Use Hazard Lights.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Use Hazard Lights. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or less than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Use Hazard Lights.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Use Hazard Lights’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 69. Any individual who operates a vehicle and does not use their headlights during the nighttime will be charged with Driving a vehicle without headlights.

(a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Driving a vehicle without headlights. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than fifty dollars to no more than two-hundred dollars.

(b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Driving a vehicle without headlights.

(c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Driving a vehicle without headlights’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 70. Any individual who walks across, stands, hovers, or blocks lanes of traffic on any roadway when a crosswalk is present in the area shall be charged with Jaywalking. All individuals must use a crosswalk when crossing any roadway when one is present, if none are present then the individual crossing the road must do it safely when no vehicles are driving by.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Jaywalking. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than twenty-five dollars to no more than three-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Jaywalking.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Jaywalking’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 71. Any individual who walks, stands, or hovers on any roadway and blocks traffic from moving shall be charged with Obstruction of Traffic.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Obstruction of Traffic. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than twenty-five dollars to no more than three-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Obstruction of Traffic.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Obstruction of Traffic’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 72. Any individual who uses a vehicle to drift and cause smoke to evolve from their tires on any roadway, street, highway, plaza, etc, shall be charged with Conducting a Drift Burnout.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Conducting a Drift Burnout. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than fifty dollars to no more than three-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Conducting a Drift Burnout.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Conducting a Drift Burnout’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 73.1. Any individual who parks their vehicle next to any sidewalk that is not marked and prevents the flow of traffic on any roadway shall be charged with Parking at an Unmarked Sidewalk.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Parking at an Unmarked Sidewalk. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than three-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Parking at an Unmarked Sidewalk.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Parking at an Unmarked Sidewalk’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 73.2. Any individual who parks their vehicle on any crosswalk and prevents pedestrians from crossing on the crosswalk the vehicle is parked on shall be charged with Parking on a Crosswalk.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Parking on a Crosswalk. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than two-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Parking on a Crosswalk.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Parking on a Crosswalk’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 73.3. Any individual who parks their vehicle in any handicap spot without a placard/sticker on their license plate shall be charged with Illegally Parking in a Handicap Space.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Illegally Parking in a Handicap Space. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than two-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Illegally Parking in a Handicap Space.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Illegally Parking in a Handicap Space’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 73.4. Any individual who parks their vehicle in a fire lane; launching bay area of a fire department, and not an official with the fire department, shall be charged with Parking in a Fire lane.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Parking in a Firelane. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than three-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Parking in a Firelane.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Parking in a Firelane’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 73.5. Any individual who parks their vehicle on any sidewalk shall be charged with Illegally Parking on a Sidewalk.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Illegally Parking on a Sidewalk. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than two-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Illegally Parking on a Sidewalk.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Illegally Parking on a Sidewalk’ are hereby declared null and void.

Article 73.6. Any individual who parks their vehicle on any median shall be charged with Illegally Parking on a Median.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Illegally Parking on a Median. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than two-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Illegally Parking on a Median.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of Illegally Parking on a Median’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 74. Any individual who conducts a U-turn at any intersection without a median being present to left side of the vehicle conducting the U-turn at, or when a sign prohibits any u-turns shall be charged with Conducting an Illegal U-turn.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Conducting an Illegal U-turn. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred dollars to no more than two-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Conducting an Illegal U-turn.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Conducting an Illegal U-turn’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 75. Any individual who who operates a vehicle and disregards the rules of the road and safety of other vehicles and/or pedestrians shall be charged with Dangerous Driving.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Dangerous Driving. Law enforcement officers will issue a citation that is no less than four-hundred dollars to no more than five-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Dangerous Driving.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Dangerous Driving’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 76. Any individual who uses a vehicle and follows any emergency vehicle with its light and sirens on when it is responding to a call shall be charged with Following an Emergency Vehicle.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Following an Emergency Vehicle. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred and fifty dollars to no more than two-hundred dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Following an Emergency Vehicle.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Following an Emergency Vehicle’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 77. Any individual who uses a vehicle and follows closely to the rear of another vehicle driving on any roadway, street, highway, etc, shall be charged with Tailgating.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Tailgating. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no more or less than seventy dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Tailgating.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Tailgating. Law enforcement officers’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 78. Any individual who operates a vehicle with it’s tire(s) missing shall be charged with Driving with a Disabled Tire.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Driving with Disabled Tires. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred and dollars to no more than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Driving with a Disabled Tire.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Driving with a Disabled Tire’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 79.1. Any individual who operates a vehicle and does not move over one lane or slow down to a speed of twenty studs per seconds when unable to safely move over one lane or if there is only one lane present when passing an emergency vehicle or vehicles (Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Department, Department of Corrections, and Department of Homeland Security), that have their emergency lights flashing and are stationary on the side of the roadway shall be charged with Failure to Move over/Slow down for Law Enforcement.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Move over/Slow down for Law Enforcement. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred and dollars to no more than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Move over/Slow down for Law Enforcement.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Move over/Slow down for Law Enforcement’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 79.2. Any individual who operates a vehicle and does not move over one lane or slow down to a speed of twenty studs per seconds when unable to safely move over one lane or if there is only one lane present when passing an emergency vehicle or vehicles (Fire Department/Emergency Medical Service), that have their emergency lights flashing and are stationary on the side of the roadway shall be charged with Failure to Move over/Slow down for Fire/EMS Personnel.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Move over/Slow down for Fire/EMS Personnel. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than one-hundred and dollars to no more than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Move over/Slow down for Fire/EMS Personnel.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Move over/Slow down for Fire/EMS Personnel’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 79.3. Any individual who operates a vehicle and does not move over one lane or slow down to a speed of twenty studs per seconds when unable to safely move over one lane or if there is only one lane present when passing a maintenance vehicle or tow truck (Department of Transportation), that have their amber lights flashing and are stationary on the side of the roadway shall be charged with Failure to Move over/Slow down for DoT Personnel.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Failure to Move over/Slow down for DoT Personnel. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than three-hundred and dollars to no more than four-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Failure to Move over/Slow down for DoT Personnel.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Failure to Move over/Slow down for DoT Personnel’ are hereby declared null and void.

Traffic Code 80. Any individual who operates a vehicle and drives in reverse for more than twenty studs when on any roadway, street, highway, etc, when driving along with or without traffic shall be charged with Driving Backwards.

a) All individuals shall be charged with a misdemeanor should they be charged for Driving Backwards. Law enforcement officers will have the option of giving a verbal warning or issuing a citation that shall be no less than fifty dollars to no more than one-hundred and fifty dollars.

b) The Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Corrections shall uphold the duty of enforcing the law against the crime of Driving Backwards.

c) All laws/legislation that go in conflict with the charge of ‘Driving Backwards’ are hereby declared null and void.
