Catalyst_0 for Redwood City Council

Hello everyone, I’m Catalyst_0, the guy who has a new company now and then but they never take off. I’m running for the city council of Redwood, which is bold after my previous flops. But, like Nelson Mandela used to say “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

I may not be the most popular, or the most famous person, or heck, have the most badges and experience, but know that I will do everything in my ability to bring Redwood higher, not lower. I plan to work with my fellow council people to help further Redwood’s impact on Firestone’s economy by helping businesses so we, together, can jumpstart a new era in the city’s history.

Now, of course, this sounds like just talk, but believe me, it’s not me making false promises. At the end of the day, I’m not easily swayed. I don’t just follow everybody else, no, I do what I believe is the best course for not myself, but everyone at the end of the day, and I do it by listening to Redwood’s residents, other council people, and others. I don’t want to make you believe I don’t care, because I do, and I will actively dedicate my time to making Redwood a better place for its citizens. I don’t speak for myself, I speak for the people, and know that your voice matters.

Thank you to the people who read this long speech, and I truly hope you’ll consider this and lending me your support so that I can start my political career in Firestone with a bang and help make Redwood better than it was before!

Have a good day, night, or afternoon,
Catalyst_0

P.S. If you have any concerns, questions, or such, leave a reply or PM me in Discord as I’ll be sure to answer to the best of my ability!

In regards to laws and goals, what do you plan on proposing? What are your goals of the term?

Firstly, the car dealership is a location of high crime, so proposing a bylaw that would make it illegal to possess a weapon in the area the car dealer covers unless you are a certified law officer or upper-government agent would help lower the amount of crime where people spawn in their vehicles by putting a punishment. The jail time would depend on if you used the weapon and if you were aware of the bylaw.

Edit: This bylaw would still apply to firefighters, whatever protection agencies remain in Firestone, and non-law enforcement departments such a Public Works. Senators, Representatives, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Founder would be exempt. This can be enforced with Redwood police going over there and watching the area on their shift.

What do you mean by Redwood police? With this law, are you going to have people randomly searched? How do you plan on enforcing such law & charges if found to be in possession of a firearm?

To start, I refer to Redwood police as FSP on duty in Redwood. With random people being searched, no, not that, as that would be illegal. The bylaw would mean that if someone came to the car dealership, and fired or revealed their gun, they would face charges, depending on if they used the firearm.

A more sensible bylaw would be more sensible they came, had a gun, and did not show or use it, face no criminal charges. Using a gun or weapon in the area of the dealership would be chargeable, but the jail time is increased. Possessing a gun but not using it would not be chargeable.

Being seen going to Path’s Guns then traveling to the car dealership by an officer or a reporting civilian would get you questioned by police along with a background check. If your background is clean, expunged, or the crimes were at least 6 months old, you’d be free to go, but you’d have to leave the car dealership or have your weapon confiscated. If the background isn’t any of the previous criteria, you’d have your gun confiscated. This will also happen if you reveal your gun at the car dealership but don’t use it, you’d have your gun taken away. Same with any weapons.

With you asking this, you found a flaw in what I proposed, which is why I ask for people and other council people’s opinions on matters and proposed bylaws such as this since these are issues I hadn’t addressed in my original reply.

Another way to enforce this law would be moving the gun store from across the street, so people looking to hurt civilians would have to search for the store instead of having it right there.

By banning guns in the CD area, I personally believe more wrong than right will happen. The criminals who do wrong with their guns won’t stop to think, wow I shouldn’t do this because it’s illegal. The only people this would effect are the people who use their guns to shoot the people who shoot up CD.
