An Amendment to the Revitalize Judicial Ethics Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THIS CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED:

Section 1: The “Revitalize Judicial Ethics Act” shall be defined as the following legislation: An Act to Revitalize Judicial Ethics

Section 2: Section 9 of the Revitalize Judicial Ethics Act shall be amended to state, “Judicial officers who wish to run for public office shall be required to report their intent to run to the Chief Justice within 24 hours of their initial campaign announcement. The Judicial officer will then be required to immediately vacate their position as a Judicial officer if they are chosen as a final candidate for the ballot.”

Section 3: This Bill shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.

Section 4: This Legislation shall go into effect upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.

Section 5: Should any part of this Legislation be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.
