AN AMENDMENT
to the Executive Article of the Constitution to Amend C.II.IX


PREAMBLE
This amendment to the Constitution shall set forth and authorize the power that will enable the Governor to bar members from the Executive Branch. A bar from the Executive Branch can be restored by the Governor himself or another Governor.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.

(a) The State of Firestone Constitution shall hereby be amended; this amendment will include the amendment of Section IX of the Executive Article (II).

(b) In the Constitution of the State of Firestone, Section IX of the Executive Article currently cites:

  • “The Governor shall have the authority to appoint cabinet members, ministers, and judges with the consent of the simple majority of the present Senate. Certain positions may not require the consent of the Senate, said positions may be set by appropriate law and/or by this Constitution; such as the Chief of Staff, which shall not require the consent of the Senate. The Governor shall have the right to dismiss any cabinet member, minister, or any employee under the Executive Branch of Firestone for reasoning deemed plausible by the Governor.”

(c.) In the Constitution, Section IX of the Executive Article shall hereby be amended which shall cite:

  • “The Governor shall have the authority to appoint cabinet members, ministers, and judges with the consent of the simple majority of the present Senate. Certain positions may not require the consent of the Senate, said positions may be set by appropriate law and/or by this Constitution; such as the Chief of Staff, which shall not require the consent of the Senate. The Governor shall have the right to dismiss and bar (reversible) any cabinet member, minister, or any employee of the Executive Branch of Firestone for reasoning deemed plausible by the Governor.”

SECTION 2.

(a) Upon passage by both the House of Representatives and the Senate, this amendment to the Constitution shall take effect immediately. It shall not be a prerequisite that the Governor is compelled to sign this amendment.

SECTION 3.

(a) All legislation that are in conflict with this amendment shall hereby be declared null and void.
