An Amendment to Secure Judicial Ethics

BE IT ENACTED BY THIS CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT

Preamble: In this day and age where judicial integrity has reached an unprecedented low, we must take action to protect and defend the people of the state. Being a judicial officer is one of the most prestigious positions in our government, and is taken upon voluntarily.

Section 1: Section sixteen shall be added to Article Three of the state constitution.

Section 1A: C.III.XVI shall state: “Judicial officers shall, at all times in office, maintain conduct that ensures the integrity and neutrality of their office. The legislature shall be able to regulate the speech and conduct of judicial officials that interferes with the execution of their duties defined within this Constitution in exception to BOR.I.”

Section 2: This amendment shall go into immediate effect upon being passed with the necessary majority by both houses of Congress.
