A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO SECTION III OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS

SECTION I: SEVERABILITY; EFFECTIVENESS

(a) If any part of this legislation is struck down by the Firestone Supreme Court this legislation shall be null and void.

(b) This legislation shall be deemed effective once all conditions outlined by the constitution necessary for its passage are fulfilled properly.

SECTION II: DOCUMENTATION

(a) Section III of the Bill of Rights currently states, “Any person subject to the state’s legal system shall be entitled to due process of law. Any person accused of a crime shall have the right to an attorney throughout the legal process, including questioning. Furthermore, no person shall be forced to incriminate themselves, and shall maintain the right to remain silent in all criminal matters. No person shall be subject to cruel and unusual punishment. Testimony taken under duress or without advisement of the rights in this section is inadmissible.”

(b) Section III of the Bill of Rights shall be amended to state, “Any person that is the subject of official proceedings by a government entity and any person accused of a crime shall have the right to an attorney throughout the legal process, including questioning. Furthermore, no person shall be forced to incriminate themselves, and shall maintain the right to remain silent in all criminal matters. No person shall be subject to cruel and unusual punishment. Testimony taken under duress or without advisement of the rights in this section is inadmissible.”
