An Amendment to End War

BE IT ENHANCED THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS THAT:

SECTION 1: The Firestone Constitution shall be amended

SECTION 2: Article IV, Section III of the Firestone Constitution currently states: “The Governor shall be the Commander-in-Chief of the Firestone National Guard, and shall have the respective authority and power over it; and shall be able to exercise full control over the deployment of the Firestone National Guard in the event of riots, civil unrest, terror attacks, a State of Emergency, or any other reason deemed justifiable by the Governor; and can deploy the Firestone National Guard in territory outside of the State of Firestone, without a Declaration of War in effect permitting such, for no more than 24 hours, if emergent.”

SECTION 3: Article IV, Section III of the Firestone Constitution shall now state: “The Governor shall be the Commander-in-Chief of the Firestone National Guard and shall have the authority and power to exercise full control over the deployment of the Firestone National Guard within the State of Firestone in the event of riots, civil unrest, terror attacks, in the event of a State of Emergency, or any other reason deemed justifiable by the Governor. The Governor may deploy the Firestone National Guard outside the State of Firestone only with a simple-majority (1/2) from both chambers of congress, or if war has been declared against the area that the Governor is deploying the Firestone National Guard to.”

SECTION 4: This Amendment shall go into effect upon passage of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
