Mr. American introduced the following amendment; which shall be read to both chambers of Congress.

AN AMENDMENT
To amend the Constitution of the State of Firestone in regards to the max prison time.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress here assembled:
SECTION 1. TITLE
This amendment may be cited as An Amendment to Limit the Maximum Amount of Time for Prison Sentencing or Amendment to C.III.III for short.
SECTION 2. AMENDING THE CONSTITUTION
(a) In general.—The State of Firestone Constitution shall be amended; and hence, specifically, Article III, Section III shall be amended.
(b) C.III.III currently states: “Judges are responsible for administering just punishments. To receive these punishments the individual in question must have been proven guilty beforehand, in the court of law. Punishments of convicted individuals consist of the following, but are not limited to: in game imprisonment not to exceed 72 hours, demotion in group rank, removal from agencies/departments/positions, etc.
(c) C.III.III shall be amended to state: “Judges are responsible for administering just punishments. To receive these punishments the individual in question must have been proven guilty beforehand, in the court of law. Punishments of convicted individuals consist of the following, but are not limited to: in game imprisonment not to exceed 24 hours, demotion in group rank, removal from agencies/departments/positions, etc.”
SECTION 3. SPONSORS AND OTHER PROVISIONS
(a) The above amendment shall be proposed to the House of Representatives; and if passed shall move onto to the Senate, and if it passes, it shall go into effect immediately.
