An Amendment to C.II.V

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Section 1: The State of Firestone Constitution shall be amended.

Section 2: Section V, Article II of the Firestone Constitution reads: “The Governor shall be obligated to appoint a new Lieutenant Governor should the previous Lieutenant Governor resign or be otherwise removed from office. The Lieutenant Governor shall become the Governor should the previous Governor resign or be otherwise removed from office.”

Section 2A: Section V, Article II of the Firestone Constitution shall now read: “The Governor shall be required to appoint a new Lieutenant Governor should the previous Lieutenant Governor resign or be removed from office. The Lieutenant Governor shall become the Governor should the previous Governor be removed from office or resign. The previous Governor shall be temporarily barred from the executive branch until the end of the term should he or she be impeached from office. The previous Lieutenant Governor shall also be temporarily barred from the executive branch should he or she be impeached from office.”

Section 3: This amendment shall go into effect immediately upon passing both chambers of congress.

SECTION 4. All laws in conflict with this amendment are hereby declared null and void.

shall be required to appoint a new Lieutenant Governor should the previous Lieutenant
Governor resign or be removed from office. The Lieutenant Governor shall become the
Governor should the previous Governor be removed from office or resign. The previous Governor shall be temporarily barred from the being an employee of the government until the end of the term should he or she be impeached from office. The previous Lieutenant Governor shall also be temporarily barred from being an employee of the government should he or she be impeached from office."
