An Amendment to C.I.XV

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

PREAMBLE. Fixes a loophole that allows the presiding officer of the Senate to vote on any legislation, amendment, resolution, or confirmation unless there is a tie.

SECTION I. C.I.XV shall now state:
“The Lieutenant Governor shall be considered as the President of the Senate and be recognized as the presiding officer for the Senate Chamber. The Lieutenant Governor nor any presiding officer for the Senate chamber shall not be able to vote for any legislation, amendment, resolution, or confirmation unless there is an event of a tie. The Lieutenant Governor shall not be considered as a member of the Senate as he/she is not an elected member in the State of Firestone.”

SECTION II. Should any part of this legislation be deemed unconstitutional or struck down, the rest shall retain amiability.

Respectfully submitted to the Congress of the State of Firestone,
