An Act to Facilitate the Establishment of the Criminal Code

PREAMBLE: The purpose of this legislation is to create a legally recognized categorized criminal code to make it easier for all branches of the government to amend/legislate criminal acts, enforce those acts, and deliver appropriate punishments for those acts in accordance with 2 FSC 78 without having to create specific punishments for each act in question.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

§1: All felonies and misdemeanors shall hold either a Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 level of punishment tied to their respective offense. Class 1 shall be considered the highest level of the offense, with Class 2 being the intermediate level, and Class 3 being the lowest level of the offense.

§1.1: A Class 1 Felony shall hold an arrest punishment of 700 but no more than 800 seconds, and a conviction punishment of no less than 6 hours but no more than 7 hours within a state corrections facility.

§1.2: A Class 2 Felony shall hold an arrest punishment of 600 but no more than 700 seconds, and a conviction punishment of no less than 5 hours but no more than 6 hours within a state corrections facility.

§1.3: A Class 3 Felony shall hold an arrest punishment of 500 but no more than 600 seconds, and a conviction punishment of no less than 4 hours but no more than 5 hours within a state corrections facility.

§1.4: A Class 1 Misdemeanor shall hold an arrest punishment of 400 but no more than 500 seconds, and a conviction punishment of no less than 3 hours but no more than 4 hours within a state corrections facility.

§1.5: A Class 2 Misdemeanor shall hold an arrest punishment of 300 but no more than 400 seconds, and a conviction punishment of no less than 2 hours but no more than 3 hours within a state corrections facility.

§1.6: A Class 3 Misdemeanor shall hold an arrest punishment of 200 but no more than 300 seconds, and a conviction punishment of no less than 1 hour but no more than 2 hours within a state corrections facility.

§2: Upon passage of both chambers of Congress, this legislation shall go into immediate effect.
