A Joint Resolution to Allow the Sergeants at Arms Deputies

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Mr. cityuser (for himself, Mr. Mega_Goalie16, Mr. Ryan123Superstar, Mr. L_3ee, and Mr. ADMIRAL_RICKY) submitted the following resolution:


JOINT RESOLUTION

To allow the Sergeants at Arms deputies.


         Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SEC 1. ENACTMENT.

    This Resolution shall go into effect upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.


SEC 2. SEVERABILITY.

    Should any part of this Resolution be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.


SEC 3. DEFINITIONS.

    For the purposes of this Resolution, the ‘Joint Resolution to Further Define the Sergeants at Arms’ shall be defined as this as adopted via https://forums.stateoffirestone.com/t/21040. It is officially known as the ‘Joint Resolution to Further Define the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives and the Senate’.


SEC 4. AMENDMENTS.

    (a) Subsection 2 shall be added to Section 2 of the Joint Resolution to Further Define the Sergeants at Arms. It shall state: “The position of Deputy Sergeant at Arms is hereby established within the office of the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives and the Senate, respectively.”

    (b) Subsection 4 shall be added to Section 3 of the Joint Resolution to Further Define the Sergeants at Arms. It shall state: “The Deputy Sergeants at Arms shall fulfill the duties of their respective Sergeant at Arms in their absence.”

    (c) Subsection 3 shall be added to Section 4 of the Joint Resolution to Further Define the Sergeants at Arms. It shall state: “Each Sergeant at Arms may appoint the Deputy Sergeant at Arms in their office.”

    (d) Subsection 4 shall be added to Section 4 of the Joint Resolution to Further Define the Sergeants at Arms. It shall state: “The Deputy Sergeant at Arms of each house may be removed by its Sergeant at Arms or by a simple majority vote of that house.”
