A Joint Resolution to Allow Longer Legislation

PREAMBLE: The purpose of this joint resolution is to officially permit the submission of legislation through other mediums which does not include the Firestone forums itself.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: “A Joint Resolution to Establish the Legislation Platform” shall be declared null and void.

SECTION 2: The primary form of submission of legislation within the State of Firestone Legislature shall be through the “Firestone Forums” which shall be defined as: https://forums.stateoffirestone.com/.

SECTION 2A: Legislation submitted in a different form may be permitted as long as the presiding officer of the respective chamber it is submitted to allows it.

SECTION 2B: Presiding officers may not deny the submission of legislation in a different form on any unethical and unprofessional basis such as but not limited to the following: relations with the congressperson, personal opinion on the proposed legislation, partisan reasons, or for any other reason that would be contrary to the standards of the state legislature and its procedures.

SECTION 3: This Joint Resolution shall be enforced by the Speaker of the House, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker Pro Tempore, and President Pro Tempore.

SECTION 4: This Resolution shall go into effect immediately after passing both chambers of Congress.
