A button to turn on/off the popping tire ability

,

As we all know, when an LEO is on a pursuit and is trying to pit the car we would use Pattern 3 lighting, which activates the pushbar automatically. Although useful I think there’s a problem with this.

Pattern 3 isn’t only used on a pursuit, but when we’re responding to calls too. This can have problems if you accidentally tap somebody in the tire while heading to a call and this is dangerous.

What I suggest is that we add a button to activate the push bar, this way we could use P3 more often without worrying that we might pop somebody’s tire by accident. This is also helpful when you’re pursuing somebody and the chase leads to CD[A populate area], it would allow us to keep the pattern on while navigating through traffic.

This is my opinion if you think you could improve this idea or want to talk about it. Please comment!

Or just use pattern 2

True, but that will reduce the number of LEDs used, Meaning less visibility.

Dude, when I was in DHS the only difference between 2 and 3 was rotation speed, and I think the two light panel in the center of the windshield did white flashers on p3

But where talking in general, all the light systems, not just DHS.

Honestly, I just use P2. Though I’d like to use P3 more.

All the light systems are virtually the same except for lightbar design

Not really, SCSO and FSP are really different from each other. Altought DHS and FSP look alike.

This could be an added feature in V3 for all LEO vehicles which could be useful for them.

You are suppose to go code 2 when responding and code 3 for a pursuit

i think holding down a hot key like R would be cool to activate it. there could be a box on the ui that turns red or green accordingly

I don’t think the R key will be a good idea, since holding a key will involve pressing it which will shift your gears upwards.
