A Bill to Make Impersonation Illegal

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: The crime of impersonation shall be hereby illegal in the State of Firestone.
SECTION 1A: Impersonation shall be defined as: “The purposeful act of posing as someone other than one’s self.”

SECTION 2: Impersonation shall be considered a misdemeanor if the suspect impersonates another citizen who has no role in the government, and has no job in the State of Firestone.

SECTION 2A: Impersonation shall be considered a felony if the suspect impersonates another citizen who has the role of a government position (Court Justice - Governor) in the State of Firestone, or if said citizen is an employee of any department for the State of Firestone.

SECTION 3: The office of the Governor shall oversee this legislation, while Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, and Firestone Department of Homeland Security shall enforce it.

SECTION 4: Upon passage from the State of Firestone Congress and being signed by the Governor, this legislation shall go into effect immediately.

SECTION 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
