A Bill to Define Squatting


PREAMBLE: This bill shall define the legal definition around Squatting and the legal consequences around it.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: “A Bill to Define Squatting” shall be established.

SECTION 2: ‘Squatting’ shall be defined as, the action of occupying and or claiming land, property, building/structure, and or an area that a person or organization does not own or has no legal permission to use.

SECTION 2.1: Legal permission to use land shall be determined by the Firestone Government, Stapleton County Government, any and all municipal governments, and or the Firestone Department of Commerce in their respective jurisdictions.

SECTION 2.2: Any involved parties found committing such offence shall be punished as follows:

SECTION 2.2.1: First offence: $150 citation. Shall be classified as a misdemeanour.

SECTION 2.2.2: Second offence: 250 seconds in jail. Shall be classified as a felony.

SECTION 2.2.3: Beyond second offence each time further shall be increased by 100 seconds.

SECTION 2.3: Transfer of ownership of land and or property between two persons or parties shall not be considered in violation of this definition defined in Section 2.

SECTION 2.3.1: Owner(s) of land, property, or legal claim to an area may also give temporary or permanent permission to a person(s) or parties to live on or have shared ownership of land or property.

SECTION 3: This bill shall be enforced by all law enforcement agencies within the State of Firestone.

SECTION 4: This legislation shall go into effect upon passage of both the Senate and House and signed into effect by the Governor.
