A Bill to Define Brandishing a Firearm

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: The Crime “Brandishing a Firearm” Shall hereby be illegal.

SECTION 2: “Brandishing a Firearm” shall be defined as: To point, hold, or brandish any firearm in such a manner as to reasonably induce fear of an individual or to the public.

SECTION 3: On-duty law enforcement personnel shall be exempt from this legislation should they be aiming a firearm at a suspect in order to detain them.

SECTION 4: Any person who brandishes a firearm in order to protect themselves or others in self defense shall be exempt from this legislation

SECTION 5: Violators of this legislation may be incarcerated up to 300-400 seconds.

SECTION 5A: Brandishing a firearm shall be considered a felony in the state of Firestone.

SECTION 6: All law enforcement agencies and the courts shall enforce this legislation.

SECTION 7: This legislation shall go into effect immediately after passage from both chambers of congress and signed by the Governor.
