Dear, State of Firestone.
As the 2019-2020 Legislative term ends I want to address some Key things before I leave the office of House of Representative.
During my legislative term, I had experienced both negative and positive sessions and ideas. Overall the House of Representatives Chamber was very progressive and efficient in their work. As legislators, our job is to represent the people of Firestone despite political party affiliation. Firestone is a community that without the participation from its community would ultimately fail to uphold its values and purpose as a Ro-State/Nation. I want to Thank Former Governor Sharkfish and his administration once again for providing a clear and progressively cut legislative agenda for us Legislators to follow. While we might have not addressed all of the problems that currently plague Firestone we do see them and recognize them. The places we left off and the laws that we need to continue now lay in the hands of the Next legislative chamber.
Our chamber accomplished many great legislative strides but possibly one of the biggest accomplishments was addressing and resolving the corruption and the in-accurate norms of being a member of the Firestone Legislature. When I took office three weeks later our first approval polls were released and yet many of us had not fully gotten situated our poll numbers were low. The Firestone people were losing trust in their governing bodies. We cannot function without the support of the people and we recognized this. Behind closed doors, we addressed the concern of legislators using their Rank as a means to get protection and instigating a conflict by showing their name in the county. These concerns addressed a greater problem that had been in the chambers long before our service, the problem was that the norms that had been set by previous legislators had contributed to the distrust of the public. The CGOC a committee in which I served on worked to hold accountable individuals both in the Legislature and other areas of Firestone of these concerns. However, we realized that we could prosecute everyone who ever conducted these actions or we could set a new norm for future government officials to come. We slowly but surely stopped showing our names in the county we stopped using our role as a means of privilege and started working on other aspects of the legislature. We conducted many trello votes to continue our service to Firestone even when we couldn’t host formal sessions. We passed many Laws that provided a clearer and more effective path towards establishing entities in Version Three. Our legislature rarely fought in session and at all. We all did our work we knew our votes ahead of time and read the bills beforehand.
To conclude I will not be running for re-election, While in my campaign speech I stated I was a new face to Firestone but I ultimately was only a New Face to the Legislature, I had served in other government offices of Firestone my ideas have been heard so I think its time to give a true New face to Firestone a chance and changing and progressing the State into a better future. So I ask that you find it in yourself to commit yourself to explore the opportunity and experiences that come with civil service and choose to one day run for an elected position.
For my future time in Firestone I plan to one day complete POST and graduate, I plan to work my way in the judiciary of our country’s government. However, for now, until V3 I will remain a citizen of the state and watch as the new norms and progressive agenda set by our chamber and many before us continue to drive Firestone into the future.
